March 25, 2025
You are invited to the “Inclusive Access to a Diploma: Reimagining Proficiency for Students with Disabilities” Town Hall. This initiative, supported by the California Department of Education’s Special Education Division, is designed to empower families and ensure that students with disabilities have the necessary tools and resources to meet graduation requirements. Your participation is crucial as they gather insights and feedback from various stakeholders to enhance our approach and support systems.
What to Expect: • Engagement Opportunities: Participate in breakout discussions tailored specifically for parents. • Resource Review: Explore the website dedicated to supporting students with disabilities and assess its clarity and effectiveness. • Feedback Collection: Share your thoughts and experiences through guided conversations facilitated by experts. • Collaboration Focus: Engage with other families and parent center staff to discuss best practices and collaborative strategies. • Ongoing Input: Learn how you can continue to provide valuable feedback on the resources even after the event concludes.
Join in this important conversation to help shape a more inclusive educational experience for all students! If you are a parent of a student with a disability living in California, please join to learn more about this initiative and learn of ways to share your input.
